A. If you do not find we are recruiting for your career interest on campus, please search our website for available opportunities that may interest you and apply directly online.
Q. What if you are not recruiting on campus at my school?
A. We only recruit on campus at a limited number of schools. If we do not attend your school please search our careers section for opportunities that interest you and apply directly online.
Q. Does Brown Shoe Company offer visas or work permits to international candidates?
A. Unfortunately, we can not offer work permits or visas for most positions.
Q. Can an internship opportunity lead to full-time employment?
A. Yes. While we do not extend offers during the internship program, we encourage our interns to pursue full-time employment through the Accelerated Career Track Program. Internships are a great way to network throughout the company and to learn about the various areas you may be interested in for full-time employment.
Q. Can I receive course credit for participating in the internship program?
A. Course credit will depend on your school’s policy. The Brown Shoe Company internships are paid. Please check with your career center or academic advisor to determine your school’s policy regarding internship credit.
Q. What is the environment like at Brown Shoe Company?
A. We are a fashion company. We like to describe the environment as innovative, creative and stylish. In our St. Louis office, we have all job functions from Customer Service to Designers to Finance to Executives. All of this in one building makes for a very exciting and inspiring environment.

A. At Brown Shoe Company, we have an in-house training department dedicated to training all employees. They have developed training programs for each position designed to assist employees at every level.
